About the Alumni

The Alumni welcomes past Australian volunteers from all chapters of Australian Government-funded international volunteering programs. It helps past volunteers stay connected with each other and the Australian Volunteers Program, as well as supporting wider awareness of the value of volunteering and increasing greater cultural awareness and connections across countries.

• Anyone who has been an Australian Government-funded international volunteer is welcome to join the Alumni.
• Volunteers automatically become part of the Alumni when they complete their assignments.
• There are more than 7,500 Alumni members across Australia and overseas. 
• The Alumni is an Australian Government initiative and is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as part of the Australian Volunteers Program.

Volunteer as an Alumni Facilitator

Do you love meeting new people, making connections and helping facilitate conversations?

Would you like to develop your skills in facilitation and get a chance to meet new members of the Alumni?

We are currently recruiting for Alumni Facilitators to support with post assignment workshops.

These workshops are now delivered online every month and run for 3 hours. The sessions will focus on volunteers’ personal experiences and program-related topics.

The Alumni Facilitator role is to enable conversations and encourage sharing by participants.  

All Alumni Facilitators will get to participate in a Facilitation Training session.
