Souphanavong University (SU) is located in Luang Prabang City and was established in November 2003. SU mission is to provide higher education to labour forces through teaching-learning and training processes to meet the socioeconomic development demands of Northern Laos. The objectives of SU are: To educate and train specialists with good quality knowledge, skill, morals and values, health with physical and spiritual development and to build the university as an education centre of excellence in northern Laos. It's important because of COVID-19 restriction there is only one native English speaker with links to Faculty of Education but he is involved with students not with teachers. The teachers want to improve their English and get support for their research so this will give them an opportunity by using remote learning
