Accountant and Financial Support Officer

We’re looking for an Accountant/Financial Support Officer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 7 months. 

• This assignment seeks to assist the local officers responsible for the accountant/finance in improving day to day flow and operation, review the business and operation system of the organisation to ensure they are meeting their purpose, and support staff prepare business cases to the CEO and Board on organization resourcing and software needs. 
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need to be a chartered accountant in Australia, People leadership experience, must have understanding of point of sale system, and experience with Xero 
• You will be working alongside the local finance officer, office manager and other administration staff under the supervision of the CEO.

Vanuatu Emergency Services Association (VESA) is a non-government organisation (NGO) incorporated locally as a charitable association. VESA operates ProMedical Vanuatu an advanced life support ambulance service on the islands of Efate and Espiritu Santo. ProMedical Vanuatu mission is to deliver affordable, high-level pre-hospital care and strengthen the Vanuatu health services by empowering and training local Ni-Vanuatu Paramedics and EMTs
