We’re looking for an Ambulance Integration Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in country over a total of 12 months.

  • This assignment seeks to support the team with the successful integration of the ambulance services and improve the risk assessment and mitigation plan.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Degree or Certification in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management or Business Administration and at least 10 years of experience in Ambulance Services.
  • Provide support for TFES to ensure high-quality service delivery to meet healthcare standards and maintain a strong reputation.

About the Partner Organisation 

The Tonga Fire & Emergency Services (TFES), based in Tofoa, comes under the Ministry of Fire & Emergency Services. TFES operates under the vision of 'Building a Safer and Resilient Tonga' and a mission to 'Protect life, property and environment from the impact of fire and other emergencies' by promoting fire safety, across the community, and providing on effective responses to emergencies.'

The volunteer would work with the team to move forward with the merger and integration of the Ambulance Services from the Ministry of Health into the Tonga Fire & Emergency Services. One of the major challenges the volunteer can help overcome is to support the development its leaders to be successful with the integration program.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include attaining a First Aid Certificate.
