We’re looking for a Career Education and Development Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 4 months.
- This assignment seeks to strengthen the National University of Mongolia (NUM) career center to support youth employment.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a minimum of five years experience in the area of career education in an University setting.
- You will Mentor project and University staff on the implemenation of career services at Mongolian hight education institutions.
- As a volunteer, you will Identify the training needs and provide training to the project team, university staff and other key stakeholders.
About the Partner Organisation
Since its establishment in 1998, the Zorig Foundation has grown from a small democratic advocacy NGO, to an organisation that worksto build democratically minded, engaged citizens through a range of leadership and civic education programs. Zorig Foundation has provided over 2,900 scholarships, making it the largest domestic scholarship provider in Mongolia. An Australian volunteer will work with the Zorig Foundation and NUM staff to enhance career services, improve student employability skills, and coach career center staff on effective guidance and employer engagement. Additionally, the volunteer will help develop a scalable career center model for adoption by other Mongolian universities, aiming to create a sustainable approach to career services that facilitates the transition from education to employment.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,790 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
