We’re looking for a Climate Project Development Officer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Cambodia.
- This assignment seeks to develop Green Climate Fund (GCF) readiness concept notes and proposals.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Master’s degree or PhD in a subject related to Public Administration, Public Policy, Fiscal Management, Law, Economics, Environmental Science, or other related fields.
- As a volunteer, you will support implementation of GCF readiness projects including capacity building and knowledge sharing in the climate project development
About the Partner Organisation
GGGI was established as an intergovernmental organization in 2012 with the objective of promoting sustainable development of developing and emerging countries by diffusing a new paradigm of economic growth - “green growth”. GGGI has 48 member states and more than 400 staff spread over 4 continents. GGGI Cambodia office has been recently expanding its portfolio in one of its Programmatic Solutions: catalyzing and accelerating access to climate. Green Climate Fund (GCF),The current Readiness profile of Cambodia includes 14 readiness activities totaling USD 5.6 million among which USD 4 million allocated for the Multi-year Strategic Readiness to be implemented by 2027. GGGI Cambodia, in close consultation with the National Designated Authority (NDA), MOE, aims to: i) identify and assess readiness needs, ii) formulate readiness projects and iii) implement projects. With this background, GGGI Cambodia office is seeking an Australian Volunteer to join the GGGI Cambodia GCF Readiness Task Force Team (TFT) and support the development and implementation of Readiness projects during 2025-2026.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
