Clinical Nurse Support - Intensive Care

We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Support in Intensive Care  who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Vanuatu. 

• This assignment seeks to provide mentoring and support to ICU Registrars, nurses, and nurse aides in the Intensive Care Unit, as well as during hospital (ward) outreach and patients follow-up in Vila Central Hospital. 
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need preferably a Postgraduate qualifications in Intensive/Critical Care Nursing, a minimum of 5 years experience in Intensive Care Nursing, and some experience in advanced nursing practice role in Intensive Care. 
• You will be working alongside Intensive Care Nursing staff and Registrars rotating to Intensive Care. 

About the Partner Organisation 

Vila Central Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is a large and busy referral center for all people with any illness or injury throughout the City of Port Vila and is the main referral hospital for the whole of Vanuatu. A six-bed Intensive Care Unit has recently opened in 2024 to cater for patients that requires intensive caring. It has 14 nurses and nurse aides still in its development stage, hence requires the services of a qualified nurse to provide a mentoring leadership role at the unit.
