We’re looking for a Communication and Media Mentor, who can live and live and volunteer for 12 months in Samoa. 


  • This assignment seeks to support local counterpart in creating clear communication with no ambiguity.
  • To be considered for this role a bachelors degree in English, journalism, business communication or related fields.
  • As a volunteer you'll be supporting staff in communication and media.

About the Partner Organisation 

SUNGO was established in 1997 with the aim of advocating for National issues which affect members and public and in addition with building the capacity of its members through training and awareness programs. To date, SUNGO has a membership of nearly 250 representing Faith Based Organisations, Community Based Organisations, NGOs, and Trusts.


As an advocate for vulnerable groups including women and children, SUNGO would like to have a volunteer on board with extensive experience in this area so that she/he can support our communications and media team. Although there is skillset in Samoa, a volunteer with the Australian knowledge would be a great help for SUNGO.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
