We’re looking for a Communication and Media Officer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Tonga.
- This assignment seeks to ensure all areas of communications are presented to the highest standard and contribute towards KPIs to increase digital engagement.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a degree in Communication, Journalism or Public Relations with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- As a volunteer, you will work to transfer knowledge and develop skills in the team to support the success of the organisation.
About the Partner Organisation
TASANOC is a non- governmental organization, based in Nuku'alofa, and is an umbrella entity for Sport National Federations (NFs). Their mission is to develop, promote, support and protect the Olympic and Sports Movement in the Kingdom of Tonga.
This assignment, focused on creating good communication platforms, is important to the organization to create strong relationships with the public and other Stakeholders. The work will uphold the image of TASANOC, attract sponsors, and boost the morale of the Staff. There is a new Media and Communications Intern that the volunteer would work to build the capacity of to support the goals of the organisation.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include a First Aid Certificate.
