We’re looking for a Communications Mentor who can live and volunteer for 9 months in Cambodia.


  • This assignment seeks to ensure BFT administrative and customer relations management systems are fit for purpose for all stakeholders and can be maintained by BFT staff
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need extensive experience in implementing communications, public relations, marketing, or donor engagement, preferably within the NGO or in a environment with limited resources.
  • As a volunteer, you will support and further develop marketing and promotions strategy and implementation. i.e. website, social media, testimonials, brochures, photos.


About the Partner Organisation 

Build Your Future Today (BFT) is a Cambodian NGO, based in Siem Reap, dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through education, sustainable community development, and healthcare. With a growing network of major donors, volunteers, and international supporters in Australia, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, and America, BFT is committed to strengthening its communications strategy to better engage with its stakeholders. BFT seeks an experienced Communications Mentor to support and refine its communications systems, strategy, and donor engagement efforts in preparation for its 20th Anniversary in January 2026. This milestone event is an opportunity to deepen engagement with existing supporters, attract new donors, and amplify awareness of BFT’s work globally.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
