We’re looking for a CT Scan and Mammogram Radiographer Mentor who can live and volunteer for at least 7 months in Vanuatu.
- This assignment involves the mentoring and training of local staff on the operation of a CT Scan and Mammogram and on the use of Cannon branded CT Scan and Mammogram, assist local counterparts to set up CT Scan and Mammogram services in Vanuatu, and assist local teams to send Films for Radiologist reporting overseas.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor degree in medical imaging or Medical radiation science. Masters Degree in Medical imaging- CT Scan and Mammogram would be an advantage. At least five years of work experience in performing and operating CT Scan machines, and at least 5 years of work experience in performing and operating Mammogram machines. Experiences in setting up of CT Scan and Mammogram services in hospitals would be an advantage.
- You will be working alongside the CT Scan Radiographer and Mammogram Radiographer, and medical Officers including identified local counterparts working in these services. You will also be in regular contact with local Clinicians and Private Practise Clinicians, And regular contact with Pacific Medical Association Radiologist based in PNG, and Vanuatu Australia Health program locums in Vila Central Hospital.

The hospital provides a wide range of medical services, including emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, surgical procedures, maternity care, pediatric care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and pharmacy services. It aims to deliver quality healthcare to the population of Vanuatu and improve the overall health and well-being of the community
CT Scan and Mammogram is a new service in Vanuatu and therefore needs experts from outside to assist train local CT Scan Radiographer and Mammogram Radiographer and technicians to gain skills and confidence in operating and managing these important services much needed by patients.

Requirements

- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
