We’re looking for a Training and Development Specialist on DRRM-CCAM (Disaster Risk Reduction and Management - Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation) who can live and volunteer for 12 months in the Philippines.


  • This assignment seeks to enhance the Local Government Unit's pre and post disaster risk assessment and disaster response efforts through the use of Remotely Piloted Air Systems or Unmanned Automated Vehicle and big maps.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need experience on aerial imagery analysis, UAV operation, data collection and processing, generating maps and 3D models for damage assessment.
  • As a volunteer, you will assist in the production of a risk communication plan


About the Partner Organisation 

The Local Government Unit of La Trinidad is located in the capital town of Benguet. La Trinidad Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office is mandated to set the direction, develop, implement and coordinate disaster risk management programs of the La Trinidad Local Government Unit.

The office envisions a comprehensive risk communication plan that empowers residents with the knowledge to understand potential hazards, prepare for emergencies, and respond appropriately during a disaster.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
