We’re looking for an Early childhood development officer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 12 months.
- This assignment seeks support on early childhood programs to support inclusion of children 0-6 with additional needs.
- As a volunteer, you will provide support for project activities in early childhood
- Participate in team meetings and review some project documents
About the Partner Organisation
Save the Children (SC) is a worldwide, non-religious, non-financial, non-political and independent children’s rights organization, established in the United Kingdom in 1919. From emergency relief to long-term development, Save the Children protects and promotes children’s rights in over 120 countries.
Save the Children has operated in Mongolia since 1994 with the assistance of Save the Children, United Kingdom between 1994-2009, and Save the Children, Japan since 2009. The organisation has 48 staff members. It implements projects in 5 thematic areas: Child Protection, Child Rights Governance, Education, Child Poverty, Health, and provides emergency relief when necessary.
The current projects aim to bolster the capabilities of local service providers, such as health centers, branch commissions, and kindergartens, to facilitate the timely identification and intervention of disabilities during early childhood and on school-based youth entrepreneurship in 7 provinces and peri-urban districts of Ulaanbaatar.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1790 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
- First Aid Certificate
