We’re looking for a Feasibility Research Advisor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Fiji. 


  • This assignment seeks to develop a feasibility studies which will provide key insights into the viability of constructing more housing units in these areas. The findings will guide project proposals to effectively address the community's housing needs.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need Postgraduate degree (M.S) in engineering, international development, or a closely related field, with 10+ years' experience in engineering, monitoring, or related fields.
  • You will be working alongside the Finance and Development Team of the Public Rental Board.


About the Partner Organisation 

The Public Rental Board (PRB) was established on 16th May 1989 under the Housing (Amendment) Decree No 12 of 1989 which included 24 rental estates comprising 1,753 rental flats. The Housing (Amendment) decree is part of the Housing Act of 1955.

It was created to offer affordable rental housing to low-income earners while seeking avenues to minimize financial shortfalls through responsible, non-commercial operations and potential government support.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
