We’re looking for a Finance and Administration Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Solomon Islands.
- This assignment seeks to strengthen capacity of Solomon Islander staff in financial management and high level finacial reporting work to Board members and Donors
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need experience and qualification in financial management and/or accounting
- You will be working alongside local management and external advisory panel to apply for and managing grants to assist in conservation management, ecotourism services and community benefits
About the Partner Organisation
The Tetepare Descendants' Association (TDA) represents the traditional landowners of Tetepare Island and is responsible for managing the island and providing employment and sustainable livelihood options for its members. TDA has also been a model organisation for landowner-managed conservation and cultural management in Melanesia, leveraging small scale ecotourism to provide employment, support the work of rangers and provide benefits for members.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include obtaining First Aid Certificate.
