We’re looking for a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Fiji.


  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need experience in designing and implementing gender and social inclusion strategies, expertise in creating training materials and M&E tools, and a strong understanding of integrating GESI principles into development projects and programs
  • As a volunteer, you will support in the design and implementation of guiding gender documents and gender assessment tools for use in Pacific programs using existing GESI policies and tools and in collaboration with GESI Officer
  • Participate in integrating GEDSI into project design alongside GESI Officer in how to use/develop tools to M&E GESI outcomes, and a train the trainer to enable the officer to provide training to the broader Pacific team


About the Partner Organisation 

GGGI’s Pacific Regional Office supports all 14 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) to develop policies, regulations, strategies, roadmaps, investment mobilization, and capacity building to support climate action and transition to green growth model of development by ensuring that gender, environmental and social safeguards, gender equality, women’s empowerment, poverty reduction and social inclusion are mainstreamed in GGGI’s Pacific country programs.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include obtaining First Aid Certificate.
