We’re looking for a Grant Writing Mentor - Climate Resilience and Biodiversity Projects  who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 9 months. 

  • This assignment seeks to contribute to support the organisation to secure funding for projects aimed at conserving biodiversity and enhancing climate resilience,
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, agriculture, social work, or a related field.
  • As a volunteer, you will support to the organisation to develop internal capacities in grant writing.


About the Partner Organisation 

South Asia Partnership – Sri Lanka (SAPSRI) is a non-profit development-oriented organisation which focuses on uplifting the lives of vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka. SAPSRI is committed to enhance the capacities of specific communities by providing an enabling environment and mainstreaming them into sustainable development processes.

SAPSRI commenced its operations as a project under the MARGA Institute in 1981, with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). In 1985, SAPSRI became a separate entity and subsequently a partner of the South Asia Partnership. Thus, SAPSRI was a part of an international chain of development organisations which includes partners in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Canada.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1782 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include a First Aid Certificate.
