We’re looking for a Human Resource Development Mentor who can volunteer remotely (online) from home for 3 months in the Solomons.

·      As a volunteer you will support the team to carry out consultations to identify gaps in knowledge and develop a Human Resource Training Development Plan.

·      To be considered for this role you’ll need tertiary qualifications in HR Management or similar field and knowledge of developing a training plan for staff.

·      You’ll be supporting the Ministry to promote the rights of women, youth and children in the Solomon Islands.

About the Partner Organisation

The Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs (MWYCFA) had as it's main aim when it was established, to address the concerns of women, youth, and children in Solomon Islands. Based on their theme " Our way forward through partnerships”, the Ministry has seen its family of partners and stakeholders grow. The Ministry's core function is to act as the focal point for the numerous efforts to ensure that issues affecting women, youth and children are addressed at all levels. These efforts include the responsibility of ensuring the protection, survival, participation and promotion of the rights of women, youth and children in the country.

The Ministry does not currently have a Human Resources Training Development Plan. The support of the volunteer is vital to support the development of the plan for the future. Providing an analysis of the knowledge and skills of staff to identify the current capacity gap will be a focus.
