We’re looking for an IELTS Trainer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 7 months.
- This assignment seeks to improve lecturers' skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, ensuring they are well-prepared to achieve their desired scores on the IELTS exam.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need in-depth knowledge of the IELTS exam structure, scoring criteria, and common challenges faced by test-takers, enabling effective preparation strategies.
- As a volunteer, you will support design and implement a structured curriculum that covers all four sections of the IELTS exam (listening, reading, writing, and speaking), ensuring that lessons are engaging and tailored to the varying proficiency levels of learner.
About the Partner Organisation
Souphanouvong University (SU) was established by Prime Ministerial Decree No. 169/NA on November 4, 2003. It has two campuses: Nasangveuy and Ban Donemai. The university includes 9 offices, 2 centers, a Confucius Institute, a Central Library, and 6 faculties offering 7 master's programs, 42 bachelor's programs, and 12 continuing education bachelor's programs. International Relations Office is one of the nine offices at Souphanouvong University. It manages international activities and partnerships, linking the university’s departments with external institutions, and focuses on human resources development, agreements, and academic cooperation. The IELTS Preparation Trainer aims to equip lecturers at Souphanouvong University with essential skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking to excel in the IELTS exam. The trainer will create a structured curriculum that meets different skill levels and run engaging workshops using various teaching methods. Regular assessments and practice tests will track lecturer progress, with helpful feedback to improve writing and speaking skills. Individual support will be provided, along with study materials and additional resources. Mock tests will mimic real exam conditions, and continuous feedback will help refine teaching. The goal is to improve lecturer skills and confidence for successful IELTS results, with a clear timeline for the training.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 2904 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
