We’re looking for an International Officer (Partnership and Learning & Development)  who can live and volunteer for 4 months in Mongolia.


  • This assignment seeks to enhance strategic and sustainable partnerships with development partners, donor agencies and key local, regional and global gender counterparts.  
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Degree in gender studies, International relations, or equivalent
  • As a volunteer, you will support the successful organisation and execution of the “International Conference on the Nexus of Gender Equality and Climate change"

About the Partner Organisation 

The National Committee on Gender Equality (NCGE), established in 2005, is led by the Prime Minister of Mongolia and the National body for promoting gender equality, mainstreaming gender in development policies, programs, legislation and coordinating relevant cross-sectoral issues. The National Committee is fully responsible for effective implementation of the Law on Promotion of Gender Equality (LPGE) and the NCGE Secretariat runs its daily activities. NCGE hopes to achieve the followings with the assistance from an Australian volunteer                     

• a high-level international conference will be successfully organised, 

• collaboration with foreign gender mechanisms /NCGE counterparts/ will be expanded, and    

• professional capacities and foreign language skills of the NCGE staff will be improved.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
