We’re looking for a Knowledge Transfer Adviser who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 9 months. 

  • This assignment seeks a support on the operations of the research and innovation center through knowledge transfer and development of relevant policy documents.
  • You will asisst to develop policy documents related to technology transfer at the university, including relevant or necessary documents such as regulation, form, and templates. 
  • As a volunteer, you will support the associate to evaluate research projects, including the patentability and utility of the patent and elaborate on intellectual property policy related documents and strategy

About the Partner Organisation 

In 2013, the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) was established as a state-owned university under an agreement between the Mongolian and German governments. Drawing from German excellence in science and technology and embracing Mongolia's rich heritage, GMIT emphasizes practical learning and critical thinking. GMIT aims to provide its students with a high-quality education that prepares them for successful careers in engineering. Since 2018, over 150 students graduated and every year nearly 100 students are enrolled to the university.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1790 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.   
  • Additional requirement includes First Aid Certificate
