Legal Advisor

We’re looking for a Legal Advisor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Palau.

• This assignment seeks to provide all aspects of legal assistance to the Office of the Vice President and Ministry of Justice.
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need tertiary qualifications in Law, International and Domestic law as well as the ability to quickly understand the Constitution, Legislation and Regulations and policies of the Republic of Palau
• Provide support in conducting outreach programs in line with the work of the Vice President, and conduct trainings on legislative drafting and grant writing

About the Partner Organisation 

This assignment will be working directly with the Ministry of Justice, which is under the oversight and management of the current office of the Vice President. Amongst their responsibilities, the Ministry of Justice oversees the Office of the Attorney General, Anti-Human Trafficking and Narcotics Enforcement Unit and are tasked to provide legal services to the national government and its agencies and political subdivisions.
