About the Partner Organisation

GGGI was established as an intergovernmental organization in 2012 with the objective of promoting sustainable development of developing and emerging countries by diffusing a new paradigm of economic growth - “green growth”. GGGI has supported the Ministry of Environment, through a project funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, to build the Ministry's capacity on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and develop the Article 6 Operations Manual. The Operations Manual is an independent policy document outlining institutions and processess required for authorization and transfer of GHG emissions reduction (or Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes) under voluntary cooperation. GGGI is a trusted partner on the Article 6 for the Royal Government of Cambodia. The Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Economy and Finance are seeking for support from GGGI to build their capacity further on Article 6, develop projects and establish a carbon trading platform. This volunteer assignment would be important in supporting GGGI to develop the necessary expertise on carbon transaction platform and developing new project design documents.
