We’re looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research mentor who can live and volunteer for 18 months in Timor Leste
- This assignment seeks to contribute to building the capacity of local programs colleagues in all MEL-related activities.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development or international studies. Substantial practical experience in a related field and similar context
- You will be working alongside, a small team
- As a volunteer, you will support capacity-building
- Participate in meetings, planning, consulting
- Provide support in Monitoring, Evaluation and Research.
- Work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through [outline specific SDG contribution...]
About the Partner Organisation
PERMATIL was founded in 2001 until today, PERMATIL has done interventions in various areas using the concepts and practices of Permaculture which emphasize Permaculture Ethics: ‘Care for the land; Care for the people; and Care for the future, The Permaculture System uses a holistic approach to everyday life including home, clean water, food, health, education and cooperative work, waste management, energy and aquaculture, rivers, forests, wild animals, etc. The Permaculture System can be applied to both rural and urban areas. PERMATIL's Vision is the people of Timor-Leste to live well, and strong in their economy, social, ecological, and cultural life through guarantee utilization of natural resources for intergenerational sustainability. To do that, PERMATIL holds on to its mission to share information and empower community members to improve their lives in healthy and sustainable ways based on the ethics and principles of Permaculture. PERMATIL continues to increase communities’ knowledge and abilities, to identify local potential to resolve their problems by using a sustainable and holistic approach. PERMATIL targets Community, students and Youth groups and has 28 local staff

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
