We’re looking for a Monitoring & Evaluation Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 8 months. 


  • This assignment seeks to assess the existing M&E capacity within WVPNG and develop a tailored capacity-building plan to address identified gaps, and strengthen the integration of Gender Equality, Diversity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) considerations into WVPNG's programs.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a University Degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
  • You will be working alongside the Program Quality team to develop an Internal M&E Training Guide and other resources to support staff.

About the Partner Organisation 

World Vision PNG is the leading independent NGO in PNG, operating in-country for over 40 years – leveraging the expertise of the global WV partnership and working with communities to overcome multi-faceted development challenges and deliver humanitarian assistance. WVPNG employs a community-based approach and brings a comprehensive understanding of the uniqueness and diversity of PNG’s cultures and traditions to all project developed and delivered.


Between FY2021 and FY2023, WVPNG managed a grant portfolio which comprised projects with a focus on a) Health (reducing Gender Based Violence, Tuberculosis (TB), HIV/AIDS, Maternal, New-born, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN), b) Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), c) Education (including Early Childhood Development), d) Livelihoods (including Economic Empowerment), e) Disaster Risk Reduction and Management DRRM), f) Climate Change Adaptation and g) Peacebuilding.


The assignment entails the engagement of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Mentor to provide technical expertise and guidance to the Program Quality team at World Vision Papua New Guinea (WVPNG). The mentor will support WVPNG in enhancing its M&E capacity, fostering innovation in M&E practices, and strengthening the integration of Gender Equality, Diversity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) considerations into its programs.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,680.00 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79.00 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include obtaining a first aid certificate.
