We’re looking for a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) for 3 months then in-country for 3 months. 

  • This assignment seeks to develop a strong Monitoring and Evaluation System for the organisation to ensure informed decision-making, improve project performance, and demonstrate accountability to the stakeholders
  • As a volunteer, you will need to have proven experience in designing and implementing M&E systems ideally for non-profit organisations.
  • You will be working alongside the small team to provide evidence-based planning and continuous improvement within the organisation.

About the Partner Organisation 

Msichana Imara Foundation (MIF), based in Arusha, is a women-led non-governmental organization. The organisation strives to promote girls’ rights to education by creating sustainable menstrual solutions, entrepreneurship skills, and digital literacy.

This position involves supporting the team to design and implement M&E frameworks to track program progress, assess effectiveness, and measure outcomes against organisational goals. The volunteer will provide technical support, train staff in data collection and reporting, and assist in ensuring compliance with donor and organisational requirements.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,845 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.    
  • A First Aid Certificate must be attained.
