We’re looking for a Multimedia & Graphic Design Officerwho canvolunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country in Tanzania  for a total of 9 months. 

  • As a volunteer, you will support the team to enhance their digital presence.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a background in journalism, public relations, or communications, as well as proficiency in graphic design and modern communication tools.
  • Work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

About the Partner Organisation 

The Tanzania Education Network/Mtandao wa Elimu Tanzania (TEN/MET), based in Dar es Salaam, is a network of 244 education Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) endeavouring to influence the transformation of education. The organisations vision is collectively realized by proactively influencing and informing policy and practices that promote access to inclusive, equitable and quality education in Tanzania. 

The aim of this assignment is to enhance the organization's digital presence and audience engagement by formulating and implementing targeted social media campaigns, supporting the team to regularly update the organization's website with fresh and relevant content, and help coordinate the dissemination of key messages through various media tools. This will involve the use of multimedia designs and storytelling techniques to maximize outreach and impact.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,845 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
