We’re looking for a National Sport Development Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a totla of 6 months.


  • This assignment seeks to support the Ministry of Sport, along with key stakeholders in the sports system such as the Tuvalu Association of Sports & National Olympic Committee (TASNOC) and National Federation, to grow more capacity in the sport system while supporting the implementation of various sport development initiatives to grow both participation and high performance outcomes 
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need experience as a sports coach or development officer and hold qualifications in sports management
  • As a volunteer, you will support in the design & delivery of capacity building workshops through various sport education & training programs which are targeted at increasing the number of quality coaches and technical officials for each National Federation

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 2,365 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include obtaining First Aid Certificate.
