We are looking for an NGO Finance and HR Capacity Development Officer who can volunteer in a hybrid role for both in-country (7 months) and remotely (online) for 5 months
- This assignment seeks to provide technical expertise to address gaps, streamline processes and ensure best practices in human resources and finance policy development and implementation.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need qualifications and experience in organisational financial management - policies, systems, processes.
- You will be working alongside the Finance and HR Manager, Program Manager, and other staff members under the supervision of the Executive Director
About the Partner Organisation
The Sista organisation, based in Port Vila, Vanuatu, is feminist charitable organisation, which uses arts, media, and communications to empower women and girls, awareness raising, and advocacy. They promote young women’s leadership and addresses gender stereotypes and social norms. Sista works with the International Women's Development Agency (IWDA) and is funded by DFAT through the We Rise 3 programme, which IWDA is the grant manager of. It also works closely with the ABC and PACMAS in its podcast project. The aim is to work with women and girls to promote gender justice and women’s representation in Vanuatu.
Sista is at a point are looking to integrate and strengthen our financial systems, policies, processes, and technologies across the work of the organisation. This is best done by an expert located within the organisation, to experience and learn the organisation and tailor the deliverables specifically to Sista. This has not been something we have found the specific expertise available within Vanuatu or for a cost that Sista can accommodate.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 3,686 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
