We’re looking for an Online Learning Development Mentor who can live and volunteer for 6 months in Laos.
- This assignment seeks to develop a strategy & process for improvement of the ED app and related infrastructures/resources
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need Experience in developing apps specifically for education and training purposes.
- As a volunteer, you will support implementing strategy and improve the functionality of the app and support NFEDC staff to effectively manage online learning platforms.
About the Partner Organisation
The Non-Formal Education Development Centre (NFEDC) is a government Centre under the Department of Non-Formal Education that works to ensure vulnerable groups have access to education and the ability to reach their maximum potential. The primary purpose of the NFEDC is to meet the educational needs of people who are outside the formal education system; in many cases, these are women, ethnic minorities, and disadvantaged groups. The assignment will support the review and assessment of the current version of the ED App and identify ways to improve it, including increasing its functionality, accessibility and appearance, The Hybrid assignment will start with a short in-country phase to enable the volunteer to understand the needs of the NFEDC and the infrastructure and resources available to students in the country.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 2904 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
