We’re looking for an Organisational Policy Review Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Fiji.
- As a volunteer, you help prioritise the recommendations of a current capacity assessment which is to be implemented and identify the support needed.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Masters degree in Management, policy and organizational development or relevant qualification with 10 years experience in the field.
- Participate in a review of current internal policies and processes and help develop new policies.
About the Partner Organisation
The Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission is an independent state body, based in Suva. The Commission has a broad mandate to promote and protect human rights at the national level in Fiji. The Commission consists of 5 Commissioners with the main office in Suva, launching its first regional office in March. There are 3 divisions within the Commission- (1) Awareness and Advocacy, (2) Complaints & Proceedings (3) Corporate. Each Unit has staff ranging from 2 to 4.
The Commission is seeking a volunteer with skills and experience that will help support the Commission in implementing some key recommendations from it's Capacity Assessment Report. The volunteer would help the staff to review outdated policies and develop new policies and strategies. They would also advise on how to best implement some key substantive human rights activities outlined in its current Strategic Plan.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include attaining a First Aid Certificate.
