We’re looking for a Policy and Research Officer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Fiji.
- This assignment seeks to advance coordinator of inter-agency consultations, meetings and engagements for the Climate Change Division (CCD)
- You will be working alongside staff within Climate Change Division in supporting them with inital drafting and developing of policy briefs and prepare communications and publication of work by CCD
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need Postgraduate or equivalent qualification in Climate Change, Environment, International Relations, Public Policy, Governance, Communications, Arts or other related field
About the Partner Organisation
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) through the Climate Change Division (CCD) will host the assigned volunteers. CCD is the responsible national agency for addressing climate change policy issues in Fiji. The CCD is guided by the Climate Change Act 2021 and the National Climate Change Policy (NCCP) and works in collaboration with government agencies, non-governmental organisations, regional and international agencies and development partners.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include obtaining a First Aid Certificate.
