We’re looking for a Policy Review Advisor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Fiji.
- This assignment seeks to assist in the review of Fiji's Poverty Alleviation and Eradication Strategy Framework and its accompanying indicators and ensure its alignment to current government priority areas and meeting international poverty indicators
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need at least 5 years experience in multi stakeholder environment with a development organisation, government, CSOs, private sector and/or research institutions
- You will be working alongside relevant team members to develop a policy to guide the revised famework encompassing all poverty intervention meansures of government are captured
About the Partner Organisation
The Poverty Monitoring Unit is mandated to: (i) plan and formulate in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy (and all sectoral ministries) an Integrated National Poverty Eradication Programme (INPEP) in line with Government’s target of reducing poverty to 10% by 2036 as per National Development Plan; (ii) manage the timely implementation of INPEP; (iii) Monitor, evaluate and report on the progress and impact of the INPEP; (iv) Carry out and coordinate research to develop effective poverty eradication policies and strategies in the short to medium term, (v) research & develop a policy and implementation framework for poverty eradication and lastly; and (vi) develop relevant projects and investment packages on poverty alleviation to meet the shift in emphasis worldwide of donor policy to poverty eradication.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include obtaining a First Aid Certificiate.
