We're looking for a Program Management Mentor who can live and volunteer for 6 months in Karangasem, Bali, Indonesia.


  • This assignment seeks to increase professionalism in local staff and community when giving the highest standards of performance and development in the delivery of Dharma Program. The volunteer will provide supervision, mentoring, and quality control in accordance with health protocols, and help gather information for the monthly reports to the program's sponsors.
  • You will be working with senior management and staff to identify gaps and evaluate skills in program management and implementation, including staff, data, and financial monitoring, training, and reporting.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor Degree and experience in related fields.


About the Partner Organisation 

Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) is a non-profit organisation registered in Indonesia and in the US, based in Bali, Indonesia. BAWA Mission is to put compassion into action and create sustainable change for all animals in Bali, and the vision is for each village in Bali to be its own natural sanctuary for animals, where all lives are valued equally and treated with kindness and respect. Our work and programs aim to tackle animal welfare issues from all sides, directly relieving animal suffering, and influencing a positive shift in attitudes and behaviors towards animals to prevent cruelty before it occurs.

The Dharma Program is a pioneering One Health collaboration between BAWA, Udayana University, and the Centre for Public Health Innovation (CPHI). The program is delivered around Bali and aim to establish a community-supported, sustained effort that mitigates the ongoing threat of rabies in humans and dogs in Bali through community education and the establishment of Animal Health Centre. This assignment will mainly focus on Dharma Program in Karangasem, a regency in Bali with one of the highest numbers of recorded rabies cases in dogs on the island.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
