We’re looking for a Project Officer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 11 months.
- This assignment seeks to support to improve the organisation's capacity in knowledge management and dissemination, international collaboration & communication and effective implementation of large scale projects
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in development, climate change, social sciences, communication, or related fields.
- As a volunteer, you will provide overall support in the implementation of the planned and envisaged project activities
About the Partner Organisation
The Independent Research Institute of Mongolia (IRIM) is one of Mongolia’s leading national consulting NGO specialized in research, monitoring and evaluation, training, and advocacy. IRIM was founded in 2008 to help build a better society in Mongolia through creating independent and high-quality knowledge products, promote cooperation between government, industry, and civil society. Within our mission, IRIM cooperates with international and bilateral donors, state and local public organizations, NGOs, and INGOs. IRIM has implemented a several consultancy projects related to climate change, sustainability, and disaster risk resilience, and the interest and the need for working in these fields is becoming higher from the national and international organizations. Therefore, we believe that we should strengthen our project development capacity in this field with the help of an Australian Volunteer who might have an international-level experience.

Allowance
We cover your flights, insurance, and provide a living and accommodation allowance. Learn more here
There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1790 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 131 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
