- As a volunteer, you will support the team to identify key areas for sustainable development and improvement.
About the Partner Organisation
The Kiritimati Urban Council, based in Tarawa, has a strategic plan and the key priority areas including completing the land site work plan. This plan is key for the Council to implement and encourage businesses and companies to apply to for locations. There are also 4 objectives they are working towards which have been funded by an impact grant and a DAP project in the areas of food security and local handicraft.
The volunteer will support the Council to determine which projects are most beneficial for community development, and foster capacity building within the team. By living and working with the team, they believe the volunteer can offer fresh perspectives on the areas most in need of development, helping them to enhance their island for the future.
