We’re looking for a Resource Mobilisation Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) for 2 months then in-country for 10 months.
- This assignment seeks to support the team to develop a comprehensive resource mobilisation strategy and implementation plan.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need proven experience in fund raising and resource mobilisation along with excellent communication and proposal writing skills.
- As a volunteer, you will support the organisation to be more sustainable.
About the Partner Organisation
Refugee Social Services (RSS), based in Durban is a registered NPO (not for profit organisation). The organisation provides social services primarily for refugees and asylum seekers in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa. The organisation provides a holistic package of services that aims to enhance protection and to promote integration and self-reliance of vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers. All services provided by RSS serve to promote protection, self-reliance and independence.
The organisation needs to strengthen its financial position in order to sustain its activities. They need the support of a volunteer who has experience in resource mobilisation and fundraising who will help the team to identify potential new donors and funders, increase individual giving to the organisation and assist them to build their capacity in this area.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 2595 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include attaining a First Aid Certificate.
