We’re looking for a Risk Communication Officer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in the Philippines.
- This assignment seeks to develop and implement a comprehensive risk communication plan to improve community awareness, preparedness, and disaster resilience.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Disaster Management, or a related field, and experience in risk or emergency communication.
- As a volunteer, you will support communication planning, staff training, and the development of real-time communication information systems.
About the Partner Organisation
The Local Government Unit of La Trinidad is located in the capital town of Benguet. La Trinidad Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office is mandated to set the direction, develop, implement and coordinate disaster risk management programs of the La Trinidad Local Government Unit.
The office envisions a comprehensive risk communication plan that empowers residents with the knowledge to understand potential hazards, prepare for emergencies, and respond appropriately during a disaster.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
