We’re looking for a Speech Therapy Curriculum Development Mentor who can live and volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for 14months.


  • This assignment seeks to collaboratively develop curriculum for a funded 12 month short course to equip provincial health/rehabilitation workers to support people with communication or swallowing difficulties
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need Proven expertise in Development of Compentency based training curriculum in Speech therapy
  • You will be working alongside with OIC staff and Academic advisors to design curriculum for competency based training for speech therapy workforce in Cambodia


About the Partner Organisation 

OIC Cambodia has since focused its activities on lobbying government and society leaders to better understand the need for speech therapy and networking with Education departments and institutions to find ways to establish a Cambodian speech therapy profession. Direct speech therapy been piloted in a variety of contexts and well as significant training in health, disability and education sectors. We passionately believe the most sustainable strategy to meeting the needs of the Cambodian population over the long term, is a government recognised, high quality, culturally relevant, university qualified, Cambodian Speech Pathology profession

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 2427 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
