Sports Management Mentor

We’re looking for a Sports Management Mentor who can live and volunteer in Palau for 2 months.

• This assignment, as part of a multidisciplinary team, seeks to help to improve the quality of the sport experience for many young people of Palau.
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need a tertiary qualification in Sport and Event Management as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• You will be working alongside the team to build the capacity of local volunteers and executives of federations to enhance sport governance, planning and sport management plans.

About the Partner Organisation 

The Palau National Olympic Committee (PNOC), based in Koror, with a close relationship with the Government of Palau, works to assist with the development of sport in the country. It also fulfils its mandate to select, prepare and lead athletes to the Olympic Games, Pacific Games and the Micronesia Games. With the upcoming Pacific Mini Games in June 2025, being held in Palau, PNOC is seeking the support of a Sports Management Mentor as part of a short term team assignment.

The volunteer will assist in a logistical and operational capacity for Team Palau leading up to the Games. This short-term assignment will provide the volunteer a platform to share skills, knowledge and expertise on strategies that can assist in how to best manage and govern sport. The volunteer will be part of a broader support team that will help to enhance the quality of the environment that engages the athletes for the Games.
