Tourism Planner - Khumbu

We’re looking for a Tourism Planner who can live and volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 12 months. In-Country Phase: 8 months, Remote Phase: 4 months

• This assignment seeks a highly experienced tourism planner to lead the design and writing of an inclusive and participatory tourism strategy and action plan.
• You will be working alongside with a national consultant and small team of designated Municipality counterpart.
• As a volunteer, you will support in Implement trainings and capacity building steps to facilitate the strategy’s implementation.
• Participate stakeholder meetings, workshops and key informant interviews at the national, regional and local levels.

About the Partner Organisation 

Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality (KPLRM) is located in Solukhumbu District, Koshi Province.

KPLRM functions as a service-oriented organisation, addressing the daily and periodic needs of its citizens. It focuses on improving services, facilities, and sustainable development for the people and community.

There’s a lack of skilled tourism planner to develop a new sustainable tourism strategy and action plan.
