We’re looking for a Website Developer who can volunteer remotely from home for 3 months.
- This assignment seeks to support the team to design and develop a user-friendly website that will be sustainable.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need certification in computer science, web development or a related field as well as proven experience.
- Provide support as African Child Projects strives to expand its knowledge and skills, bringing diverse expertise to the team, helping the organisation stay at the forefront of digital innovation to effectively serve its community.
About the Partner Organisation
African Child Projects is a youth-led organisation is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The organisation focuses on bridging the digital divide and bringing internet access to communities in Tanzania by building digital societies. The organisation has projects around the following thematic areas: Technology, Education, Research, Policy and Advocacy.
This volunteer assignment is crucial in helping to design, develop, and ensure maintenance of the website for African Child Projects. The volunteer will collaborate closely with local staff to ensure that the organisation's websites are not only functional and user-friendly but also visually appealing. Key responsibilities will include optimising performance, enhancing security, and ensuring responsiveness across various devices.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
